The Panama chock is made according to the JIS F 2017-1982 standard and is popular as mooring equipment, which can stand great loads when mooring ships and vessels. The marine mooring chock is one of the most used Panama chocks for ships passing through the Panama Canal. It is made of high quality cast steel as the requirement of JIS G 5101. However, as the special requirement of our clients, the JIS F 2017 type Panama chocks can also be made of steel plate as the requirement of JIS G 3106. It can be either mounted directly onto or into the hull or be supplied with a base plate to be bolted to the plinth.
